This sweet blind dog named Poly was abandoned on a park bench, too afraid to move. But thanks to a few Good Samaritans, she’s now learning what love feels like.
The 3-year-old pup’s foster family says she was left at a park in Santa Barbara, California, after her previous owners “used her to have puppies and then dumped her.”
When her rescuers came to Polly’s aid, it was determined that she was only about three years old but she was also blind. Polly didn’t have a very happy life so far. Not only did she just give birth to a litter of puppies, Polly showed signs of neglect. She was hungry, starved for affection and had a treatable skin disease.
Thankfully there are some good people who rescued this poor dog and brought her to the shelter. She had perhaps been starving for days so when she was given food, she just gobbled it up.
