The streets of South Africa are no place for a dog to be roaming alone, but that’s exactly what happens to many dogs in that country. A poor starving dog, his ribs visibly showing, stood helplessly on the streets of Iquitos until a true miracle happened.
A stranger passing by, named Joyci, saw the dog and felt an instant connection. She wanted to help, but suddenly the dog was nowhere in sight. Though she came back to the same spot the next day, the dog was not there.
Joyci was ready to leave the area, but she saw another sickly dog off in the distance. With mange and clearly ready to die, the innocent pooch stood in traffic, perhaps wanting for it all to be over.
