Rex was a feral dog that was being rehabilitated by his newly adopted human. Because Rex adopted him, not the other way around, right? Rex had a history of attacking small animals out of instinct, and was learning to change his ways.
Only a month later, Rex did something truly amazing! A dog that was feral, that had a history of attacking other creatures, alerted his human to come to the aid of a dying hummingbird. WHOA!
Later named “Hummer,” the precious, tiny bird had no feathers and was covered with bugs. She was clinging to life. But Rex found her! What happened next is so incredible, I could cry! Rex’s human took her in and nursed her back to health by feeding her every 15 minutes!
