On December 5th, a policeman from Mercer County, new Jersey, risked his own life to pull the dog out of a partially frozen pond. The heroic act of the officer was filmed and the video and quickly gained popularity on social networks.
Officers Robert Voorhees and George Peterson responded to a call about a dog that fell under the ice in a frozen pond and could not get out on their own. The owner of a one-year-old Rottweiler has said that her dog trapped in the pond, scared out of my wits and was freezing, so the woman immediately called the rescue service.
“The dog had no way of getting out on its own,” Caroline Wooley said in an interview.
