When a homeless man rode up on his bike to the East Bay SPCA in Oakland, California, employees were stunned to find a dog running beside him. Vets at the SPCA quickly realized the dog had obvious medical issues, including a noticeable limp in her leg.
According to her owner, the dog – named Sheba – had gotten into a fight with another dog and hurt her leg. Sheba’s owner attempted to bandage the dog’s leg up himself. Vets quickly identified that the smells coming from the bandage were a sign that the wound was infected.
