When Vet Ranch first examined the homeless dog Elton, he was in such bad shape and had so many bones broken in his entire back end that he was on the edge of needing to be euthanized.
“We didn’t know if surgery was even possible,” Dr. Matt wrote. But Elton was a fighter and they decided to give surgery a shot.
Elton was found dragging his broken body on the streets of Houston after Hurricane Harvey. They don’t know if he belonged to someone or was a stray, but he did need help.
