We all talk to our pets. There is no shame in it. My favorite convos with my pups are when we go on long walks. I often ask them how their day is going, if they’re enjoying themselves. If a cute dog passes us by, I will ask them what they think about the competition. Normally, they don’t respond much. A subtle tail wag here and there, if I’m lucky. Once in a while, I will get their ears going and they will turn to look at me and give me that doggy stare.
