In Lima, Peru, there are many street dogs that have to make their own way in the world, and sadly, many of them are injured. But this is the story of one dog who was rescued and given a new chance at life.
A group of teenagers found a dog in the middle of the street that was suffering greatly. The dog had clearly been injured in the past, but he was strapped to a strange contraption and couldn’t get up. The teens freed him from the contraption and figured he would be safe to continue living as a street dog, but when they saw him again, he was strapped back into the same contraption.
Obviously, someone believed the little dog was better off in this state, but the teens knew better. They took him to a woman named Sara Moran, who runs her own shelter for injured dogs, Milagros Perrunos. Sara saw the dog was ill and immediately took him to the vet. Unfortunately, she received more bad news.
