Mangy Stray Cat Is Finally Able To Open His Eyes

292

A resident in southern Florida noticed a stray cat eating out of his pet’s food dish a short time ago, he was concerned for this little guy.

He quickly gobbled down as much kibble as he could, hungry for any food he could get his paws on. That wasn’t the only problem this guy had going on he was also suffering from mange that was so severe that his eyes were pasted shut. I wonder how long he had been wandering around like this?

The man worked at luring the cat into a cat carrier with a bowl of food. He took pictures and posted them on social media. As a founder of a local rescue, Carmen Morales, saw the post and reached out to the good Samaritan.

Carmen took the poor cat to a nearby vet where he was treated for a variety of conditions, including mange, dehydration, and malnourishment.

The cat was later named Cotton. Cotton warmed up quickly maybe he sensed that these people were only there to help him. Carmen took Cotton to her house and gave him a comfy safe place to recover.

“Cotton stayed hunched over for days and days and seemed very uncomfortable”

Little by little Cotton started gaining weight and his fur was regrowing slowly.

But he had a huge surprise in store for everyone, once his eyes were healed and he could open them again…

He also had a condition called heterochromia iridum, a condition that causes different colored irises. It can affect humans as well as dogs and cats. Normally it manifests itself in white-colored animals.

WOW look at her now what a transformation! From mangey to beautiful.

Share if Cotton’s eyes made you smile just a little bit.
