Cats, in General, have not demonstrated secure attachment, from which it was concluded that they do not feel danger if they are removed from the owner, and therefore does not feel any stress.
A similar experiment for comparison was carried out with dogs, which showed a very high level of secure attachment. According to scientists, the result of the experiment explained why many cats prefer loneliness and often do not feel a great desire to communicate with the owner.
However, the experimenters agreed, this does not mean that our furry friends are not able to get attached to us at all. It is possible that the attachment of the cat to the owner exists, just it is a very different character than that between mother and child, man and dog.
