A few months ago, a cat named Melvin was rescued from a street in Los Angeles. First, the fluffy was taken to a city shelter, and soon transferred to the adoption center of homeless animals “Best Friends”.
Employees of the center immediately noticed the peculiarity of the animal. It turned out that Melvin was born with a rare pathology. Cat’s eyeball was not formed completely. Veterinarians conducted a detailed examination of the poor fellow and found out that Melvin not only sees almost nothing, but also experiences constant pain.
At the age of three the cat with such disorders can’t be cured. Doctors had to remove the eyeball Melvin to ease his suffering. Shortly before the operation, a girl named Jackie read the story of this cat in social networks.
