Getting a pet for your child might be the best decision you’ll ever make. This way they will have a companion for life and will learn that “sharing is caring” which can help shape them into good people.

However, you should be aware that an animal comes with a bunch of commitments such as preparing food and making sure it’s not bored.

But when there is a baby in the house, it’s a bit more complicated.

You have to make sure your child accepts the pet and reacts to its arrival positively.

It’s important to make sure that you monitor and think about how the cat might react to the baby because it can end up very bad, or very good!

When thinking about how to introduce a baby to your cat, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has created some tips that can greatly help when creating a positive introduction of your cat with a baby

They suggest that you create a quiet environment and bring the cat into this area without baby distractions or noises. After they meet each other, you can introduce the cat to other family members quietly and carefully while monitoring everything during the event.

It can also be a good idea to bring some of the babies clothes or blankets preferably into the area to let the cat quietly investigate the smells. This can help the cat feel comfortable in the environment.
