This guy thought he had his dream come true when he saw a wild owl sitting calmly on a log in the Slovenian woods.
To his surprise she seemed completely unafraid of him as he slowly approached and started petting her. Most people would just enjoy the moment, take a few photos (or a video) and move on. But the man felt something was wrong.
He stopped recording, picked up the owl and took it to a vet where they found both of her wings had been broken.
It was pure luck he was hiking in that exact part of the forest otherwise this adorable baby would have been dead. After some treatment and recovery, the owl was released into the wild 4 months after this video was shot. I just love happy endings
